Delete your account
You can delete your account and everything attached to it yourself, from inside the app, and it happens immediately. This page says exactly what goes.
In the app
Open Bushra, tap the account icon in the top bar, then Delete my account. You will be asked for your password — that is deliberate: a phone someone else is holding should not be enough to erase your account.
It runs there and then. Nothing is queued and nothing waits on us, so there is no window in which your recordings still exist while a request sits in a mailbox.
If you have already uninstalled
Email [email protected] from the address your account uses, with Delete my account as the subject. Sending it from the registered address is what lets us confirm the request is yours — we will not act on a deletion request we cannot tie to the account.
We will confirm by email once it is done. Expect it within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your account, email address and name.
- Every audio recording of your sessions.
- Every transcript.
- Your measured level, the mistakes being tracked for you, the words you were given, and your session scores and feedback.
- What Bushra remembers about you between sessions.
This cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not pause it — there is nothing to come back to, and a new account starts from a fresh level check.
What we keep
Nothing. There is no billing, so there are no payment records we are obliged to keep, and nothing about how you speak survives the deletion.
Using Bushra as a guest
Without an account, your sessions are tied to a random ID stored on your device rather than to you — but the recordings are still on our servers, so “no account” does not mean “nothing to delete”. The same control removes them: Delete my sessions and recordings, in the same place. Uninstalling only breaks the link from your phone; it leaves the audio where it is.
Anything else
If you want your data removed but would rather keep the account, or you want a copy of what we hold, write to the same address and say so.
What we collect in the first place is set out on the privacy page.
